Monoprinting
Last Saturday 28th July 2012, we had an excellent day at FDPW. This was our third "monathon", and working alongside Aine Scannell, Steve Ratomski, Peter Kirley, and Bill Mc Kechnie we had a lot of fun using stencils, solvents and textured fabrics to conduct layering and explore a range of technique that we might not have done otherwise.

Texture imprinted onto translucent ink layer
Aine looking at the fantastic monoprints I made (ha ha)
Layer of ink mixed with extender to make more transparent
Then clingfilm was impressed before running that through the press
Peter Kirley mixing colours - he worked many many layers onto his prints
Steve Ratomski
Great photo of me (thanks Aine !!)
Tried out something I read in a book using parcel tape to mask areas out - can use as a starting point to develop into a finished piece.
Used some ready made paper letters which I rolled up in different colours and arranged these on a plate rolled up with pale green ink.
